house purchase while legally separated

I have been separated since April 2005, but legally since

May 2006, I want to purchase a house and need to know if my husband would have any rights to a house purchased before the divorce, the divorce has been a drag out all this time

and the property is available now and I do not want to lose out on this opportunity. Thanks for your reply.

Any property acquired during marriage, unless specifically disclaimed through a separation agreement, is subject to division during divorce.
