need help to get out of this marriage

Hi , im an Indian female citizen married 10 months ago to a guy who is also indian citizen but moved to USA in 2005 on H1 visa. So after marriage, i also moved here in US on H4 ie dependent visa.Since day 1 of our marriage , me and my husband dont not have any physical relationship and recently i found out that he is an impotent .And he has been taking out all his frustration on me during these 10 months in terms of yelling , scolding and abusing me and my family.My in laws made my parents spend huge money on our marriage which took place in India and they had also been asking for dowry in terms of money and jwellery. I cannot stand this anymore and i want to end this relationship . I have also got my H1 visa approved recently and i shall be able to start work after it gets stamped in october.Kindly help me and advice me as to how can i end this relationship and get all my parents money back from them . Thanks

If you want to file for divorce you will need to separate from your husband. If he agrees to the separation, you can get a divorce in MD after 1 year. If he doesn't agree, you would claim that his behavior toward you was so abusive that it forced you to leave.

However, it's unlikely that you'll be able to recover the money your parents spent on the wedding or dowry.
