Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I was propose by someone in Maryland,come to find he was still married to another woman when he proposed to me,and he cheated on me,do i have to give the ring back??

You have to give the ring back. Sorry! In Maryland, an engagement ring is considered a "conditional" gift, meaning that you do not get the gift until the condition is met (in this case, getting married). The fact that this guy was a jerk and didn't ultimately marry you doesn't mean you get to keep the ring. Give the ring back immediately -- the quicker you do so, the quicker you can move on with your life. This ring is just a way for you to keep him in your life and vice versa.
