Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

My grandmother died last september (2009) she worked for a the U.S. Postal Service for almost 30 years and then retired. Upon her death my mother and uncle who were the only surviving children received her insurance money. the only money they have not received is my Grandmothers retirement. This is due to her (grandmother) putting on the application that she was married. This is not true, but has been very difficult to prove. We have been searching for this information for about a year having to prove whether this person is still alive. Again, this has been very hard to prove, because there are alot of conflicting dates. I believe that there was an annullment that is why this information whether they were divorced or not this has been very difficult to find. My mother and uncle are entitled to this money and we have been going through hoops to find it with no luck. I just need some type of direction so my mother and uncle can finally get their money.

Your mother and uncle should consider consulting with an attorney in person and showing them all the paperwork. This question seems a bit too complicated to answer in this forum. I would be happy to meet with your mother or uncle, or speak to them over the phone, if that is something they are interested in. My email is [email protected] -- please send me a message to set up a free consultation.
