Hi,

I obtained a visa to study in the United States, but unfortunately due to financial problems did go to school, but now married to my white woman...

I need to adjust my status and change things around, because have not been able to work due to Unauthorized to work

How long is it going to take me to get my work permit and greencard

If your wife is a US citizen she can petition for you as an "immediate relative" (i.e., you don't have to wait for a visa to become available). Adjustment applications are going really fast these days. I see cases being turned around in 3 to 5 months. By law, USCIS must get a work permit (AKA an "EAD" card) back to you within 90 days of filing. So it shouldn't take long before you're able to work and get a green card.

It typically takes 6 months for the green card at most and 3 months for the temporary employment document.
