Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

Upgrading 1-130 petition after being naturalized

I was a pemnant resident of Us when I filed a 1-130 petition on behalf of my spouse and children.I have'nt received any approval or response exept a receipt notice of action even after 3 years of time.now i have been naturalized recently and had applied to upgrade abpve said petition. My question is that what will be the priority date after upgrading my petition coz i filed my petition on 24 april , 2004.And had applied to upgrade on 7 May 2004.

Will my case become current after upgrading or i had to wait for a longtime even after that.Coz vermont service senter is processing petitions filed on June 1 ,2003 for spouces of Us citizens.

There is no priority date once you are a US citizen - a visa number becomes immediately avaiable for your wife and your children (assuming that they are unmarried and under 21). If you need assistance with this matter please feel free to contact my office. Good luck!
