Like all good lawyers, I'll say that it depends on the circumstances. Do you have a lease? Were you present when they came in? If so, did they ask for permission? Were there exigent circumstances, like a fleeing felon? Did they have a warrant to search the whole house? Did they have a warrant to search your room specifically? Did the property owner grant them permission to enter the house? There are a lot of circumstances that would allow the police to enter your room without a warrant and those circumstances would depend on the facts of the situation. Without more information, there is no way to give you a definitive yes or no answer. If you think you have civil case for violation of your rights, you should contact a lawyer in your jurisdiction competent in police search and seizure matters.
