My condo association issued a writ of garnishment of property. What can I do? Thank you.

It sounds like the association sued you for nonpayment of association dues or assessments and you didn't defend the suit, so they got a judgment against you. Now they are using the garnishment to try and collect on the judgment. You are entitled to protect certain property from garnishment, including $6000 in a bank account, but to do this you need to file a motion claiming your exemption from the garnishment within 30 days of it being served on you. If the property they garnished has any significant value, you would be wise to have an attorney familiar with these kinds of cases assist you.
