Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

My son purchased a house in Maryland six months ago. The home was inspected and the roof was free of leaks. Six months later the roof during a rain storm has eight leaks. Does he have any recourse for damages?

It depends. Is it a new home? If so, the roof is still under warranty.
