Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland

i recieved a letter saying there is a bench warrant against me and 5000 bail for a failure to appear at a driving on a suspended license case. I took care of my license the next day but missed my court case becasue I moved. What should I do?

If you hire a lawyer, I could file a motion to quash/recall the warrant because of your non-willful failure to appear. You could also surrender.

Contacting an experienced trial attorney would be of benefit. The lawyer can contact the judge and petition him to lift the bench warrant so that you can go to a hearing and explain your reason. But, don't wait.
