Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland

Traffic violation

I got a ticket for drvining on a suspended license. It was from our of state. I had no idea that I had a ticket to pay. That caused my suspension. The ticket is paid for and and I have to go to court. I cannot a fford a lawyer. Do you think I need one? Public Defense is not an option.

Since driving on a suspended license can result in going to jail, an investment in a lawyer would be wise.
