Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

We want "iron clad" will. We're not married & want to make sure other family members can't dispute the will. The family relationship on one side is not good and we will not communicate the will information to them in advance. Other person's family is supportive and can have a copy of the will. Specifically, things like the house should go to other person in the relationship, not a family member. We are residents of the state of Maryland.

Being married would be most beneficial to your objective; however, you can accomplish your objective with a properly drafted Last Will and Testament and recordation. You may need additional documents such as an Advanced Directive and Appointment of Health Care Agent. A Power of Attorney is also highly beneficial in the event of incapacity of one of you.

I can prepare your documents and can also provide for probate to assist the surviving partner in the event of the death of one of the benefactors.
