Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

i recently fell while getting off an elevator at my job had to go to the emergency room the elevator stopped 5-6 inches short from a level position unaware i took a hard fall question can i seek compensation from the elevator company or the maintenance contractor for elevator.

You probably have two seperate claim that are obviously interrelated. First is a claim for worker's compensation benefits and the second is a liability claim against the elevator company.
