Does the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission usually approve settlement agreements? My husband had a perm rating of 32% and was offerred $55,000 which he wants to take. Do you think Workers Comp will approve this?

Re: settlement

Your question is unanswerable with the scant information you provided. Each case is reviewed on its specific facts, which include the nature of the injury, the area of the body that is injured, whether the settlement is a full and final or if medicals are reserved. If your husband has an attorney and the papers have been properly prepared, there is a better chance that the settlement will be approved than if he's acting on his own.
