Debt Collecters
Is it legal when one debt collecter sells a debt to anothe debt collecter and the second debt collecter adds a couple of thousand of interst to a balance in less than 3 months. thanks for the time. Jerry Begley

It really depends, but most likely the debt should not continue to accrue interest, except that the debt collector may request an award of interest in its request for judgment.
You should speak with an attorney who handles debt collection defense immediately.
