can i still have credit after filing for chapter 13

You will have credit during Chapter 13, pay your mortgage, car payments and other secured items and verify that it is being reported correctly with the credit reporting agencies. Experian, Equifax and Transunion. You can obtain free reports once a year at www.annualcreditreport.com In terms of credit cards after your Bankruptcy you will likely be solicated by credit card companies for your business. As a matter of fact, your credit score can increase after filing. Although it may take a little while. We had a recent client who filed a Chapter 7 and after a year was able to secure financing for a house.
