about business customer relations after termination

I've been with a company for app. 34 years. They terminated me 12/20/07 for certains accusations. My question is what rights do i have for attainning custumers from them as many want me to do their service. Thank you,--name removed--

This is not a simple question to answer as additional information is needed to give an intelligent answer. This includes issues such as:

Did you have an employment agreement?

Did you sign a non-compete or an agreement on discharge that prohibits you from contacting clients?

Do you have confidential information that you should not use?

The answer to your question depends on variables such as whether you signed a written employment agreement that contained provisions regarding covenants not to compete, confidential client information etc.
