Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts

My husband and I just created and opened a new sculpture business, which is based online. We are thinking of running a 'special' whereby we would offer free shipping to clients in our local area (we'd hand-deliver the parcels ourselves) . Is this legal to do??

(ie. will the post office have an issue... we've already been warned not to hand-deliver any add flyers to mailboxes)

If this is legal, how must we document such a transaction?

I am aware of no law that prohibits a business from delivering its products. However, commercial vehicles have to be properly licensed, such as having commercial plates.

If the sculpture is small enough to use your private car, you may want to check with your auto insurer or agent to make sure you and the business have the correct insurance,

The use of mailboxes for other than mail may be illegal, I would have to research that particular issue. However as long as you do not use a mailbox for delivery there is no basis to for anyone to stop you from making deliveries.
