Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts

I have a court date in Aug. in a town thats over 2 hours away from me. My boyfriends ex girlfriend is making false accusations and sayin i threatened her. I dnt even know who the girl is and never spoke with her although she got my phone number from my facebook page. I am also pregnant and have no way of transportation to even get to the court house. at the bottom of the letter it says if i dont show a criminal compliant may be issued. my question is what does that mean and if i dont show up, will there be a warrent for my arrest? ( the letter also says when i show up report to clerk-magistrates's office ) and not to go into the court room

It sounds like a clerk's hearing.

You must show up and be prepared with witnesses and evidence.

Not showing up is not very smart, to say the least.

Get an attorney.
