Legal Question in Technology Law in Massachusetts

Copyright

Hi I'm Student in Computer Engineering. I want to open a small business (me only)while in school to support myself. I want to create sofware training demonstrations, put them on a CD and sell them to people who want to learn computers. The business idea is to show people how to use Microsoft Word, Windows XP and 98. Now, do I have to have Microsoft permission to do that and will I have to pay them a fee? Thank you

Re: Copyright

As long as you are not reproducing materials (like program instruction manual) copyright-protected by the software vendor, you need no consent to run training programs. Indeed, they should thank you for it, as their woefully-inadequate documentation is an impediment to sales....

Best wishes,
