Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

I received a letter yesterday saying that I had a judgement against me for $2040, but in the letter it states that it needs to be paid by 04/03/2004. Now I have had my credit report reviewed within the last year and there were no outstanding debts on there. I'm looking for help because I'm not sure if this is a scam or something. It just seems weird that nothing would show up on my credit report regarding this issue.

You are doing the right thing by seeking legal counsel with this. I would be happy to review the letter for FREE, please email or fax a copy. If they are a legitimate company, breaking collections law, I can probably even take your case at no cost to you.

Please contact me directly so I can evaluate your case:

I agree that not all judgment creditors report their judgments to the credit reporting agency. You should speak with an attorney who can verify the validity of the judgment debt and help you resolve it. Don't hesitate to contact my office if you would like our assistance. 617-357-4898.

Contact the court where the judgment is from and ask the clerk if there is in fact a judgment in your name-you may also want to seek legal advice if it is in fact a court issued judgment. 774-745-0562.
