what recourse is there against me for a credit card default?

I will assume that you are a consumer, and not a credit card company :-) I am guessing also that you have defaulted on your payments. Your options are to pay the company what you owe, or to negotiate a lower amount to discharge your obligation. We assist clients like yourself in working out a settlement plan, where you have the time you need to build up a settlement reserve. We take care of creditor letters, and can even defend you if suit is filed, until there is a sufficient reserve in order to settle the debt.
