Re: Time limit to old claims

The Collection agency must provide you with some documentation that validates the debt.

Generally speaking, debts that are over 7 years old may be beyond the statute of limitations, which effectively means that the creditor will not be able to file litigation against you.

What is the amount allegedly owed? If it is substantial, you want to hire an attorney to represent your interests.

Feel free to call/email to discuss further.

I think that you asked this question before. You say very little. But if it is a breach of contract claim, the limitation period is usually 6 years.

DO nothing to agree to payments, or to agree to anything.

Demand documentations to support their claim.
