conviction of a class D substance

My son was convicted of possession of a class D substance. He was 20 years old when convicted. He is a student and will be graduating at the end of the year. Is there a way for his conviction to be forgiven?

Forgiven? Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Are you sure it is a conviction? There are other types of pleas in Massachusetts that are technically not convictions. If, in fact, it is a conviction, in certain circumstances it is possible to revise/revoke the sentence, or even withdraw the plea. After enough time passes, the record may be sealed but this is not always the best thing to do.
