Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

I was getting off an exit of a highway and was too close to the guy in front of me. He slammed on his breaks and I stopped. He then proceeded to get out of his car and yell profanities at me and asking me to get out of the car and fight. I told him I was not getting out of my car. There was no accident at this time, so I went to go around him and get out of there (fearing he had a weapon in his car). He then proceeded to hit his door into my car as I was leaving. I then pulled over to repor the accident and he punched me in the stomach and the eye. I filed charges when the police arrived and we went to the hearing. At the hearing he filed counter charges, saying I ran into his car purposely. How can he do this? Am I now in trouble when I did nothing wrong? I just want to get all charges dropped because I don't want to deal with this anymore, how do I do this?

Unfortunately you will now have to hire an attorney to defend you on the charges. Since he is alleging that you hit him with the car it is a felony if charges as A&B w Dangerous weapon. Do not take this matter lightly. The ADA (Assit District Attorney) will not I assure you. You should hire the best Criminal Defense Attorney that you can afford. Do not think that any lawyer can handle it and the cheapest price is the way to go. You get what you pay for here as well as in all areas of life. If you need counsel do not hesitate to call.
