Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

marajuana possesion

My daughter was in a car on school grounds with 2 others,1 was found with a small amount of marajuana in her possesion,now all have been suspended and are being prosecuted for possesion.Is this the law?

The answer to your question depends where she was sitting; where the marijuana was found; lots of things.

School rules and criminal law don't always go hand in hand. The school could suspend her even if she is eventually acquitted of any criminal wrongdoing. Obviously it is most important for her to properly defend the criminal matter. Feel free to contact my office for a free consultation.
