Re: public information
Most convictions are "public information " to a degree. Under the Massachusetts CORI law (Correctional Offender Record Information) only convictions can be made public. This means that a person can pay a fee to the state agency and get a copy of a person's public record. Additional information may be obtained if a person has a docket number of a criminal case or has a court order.
