Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts

Transporting of Alcohol Question

Quick question. If an 18 year old male is driving his 21 year old friend to the liquor store, and after the purchase the friend puts the alcohol in the trunk. Then they drive back to their campus parking lot, and the 21 year old takes the alcohol out of the trunk where 2 undercover cops approach them and arrest the 18 year old for transporting alcohol, how is that possible? The car was since parked, and the cops never pulled over the car or anything, just stopped two kids walking. ONLY the 21 year old had alcohol in his hands. Also it was on a public college campus, however the liquor was bought off campus obviously.

Re: Transporting of Alcohol Question

It sounds like you have a very defensable case. You should hire a good criminal defense lawyer who knows what they are doing and challenge the charge.
