A judge is likely to consider this harmful to the child. Make the introduction when the divorce is over.

I would hold off until the divorce is finalized to avoid any allegations of medical damage to the child. There is no law that says you cannot do this. However, you need to make sure your friend is free of any potential negative allegations, drung user, alcoholic, past domestic orders etc.

I would agree with Mr. Pransky you are better-off leaving your new fiance out of this for now.

I agree with the others that there is nothing lawfully preventing your friends and colleagues from interacting with the child. As you know, it will likely inflame passions during the divorce process. I would minimize conflict to the extent possible until the divorce is finalized. If you need an attorney to assist you in this matter, please feel free to contact our office.
