Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Blended family divorce

My husband and I have one child each from prior marriages (they are both 14 years old). Together we have 2 biological children (one is 3, the other 4 years old, and has special needs). I work at home as a family day care provider.

My husband has agreed to move out with his older child; but wants me to sell the house and split the bills/profit.

Ideally, I would like to have my husband pay half of the mortgage, child support, and allow me to stay in the house until the youngest child reaches adulthood. -Do I have a chance at this proposal?-

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Re: Blended family divorce

Ultimately the Family Court will determine what is best for the minor children based on financial statements to be filed by both parties.Your proposal sounds reasonable. Contact a lawyer to prepare a settlement agreement. Good luck!
