Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

chid having own bedroom

My daughter is 5yrs old visits her father every weekend. My problem is that he lives in a one-bedroom apartment, and I dont think he can afford a two bedroom.I dont like the fact that they share a bedroom at night. Is it even legal to have father and daughter share a bedroom? Are there any cases or a web-site I can find similar to this situation?

Re: chid having own bedroom

Given that he has custody 2 out of 7 days, agree to let him reduce his child-support payments by 2/7ths so that he can afford an apartment with 2 bedrooms.

The child-support laws are unfairly applied.

Where he is probably just a loving father, why should you be fearful?

When I was young, we had curfews, but it was foolish, because if the kids wanted to do "something," they could do it at 3 in the afternoon instead of 11 at night.

Same thing here. If he wanted to do something, it would not matter how many bedrooms there were. Same with you, you could abuse your child in the kitchen. Should he ask that you get two kitchens?

Of course it is legal for a father and daughter to share a bedroom. There are air mattresses, cots, pull out chairs (whatever you call them), loungers.

If there websites that talk about such things, they are written or maintained by people with bigger problems than the one you have.

Use common sense and compassion. You will find your answer.
