Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I was wondering about cases when DSS is called into the other parents home. My daughters father and I are no longer together. And, I just recently found out that DSS was called out to his house twice in regards to his wife and children. I was never notified!! Dont I have a right to know when this happens? And, shouldnt I have been notified by DSS?

If it doesn't involve your child, DSS is not legally obligated to notify you. But if there is reason to believe that YOUR daughter is in any type of danger while in her father's custody or visitation, you should contact DSS yourself. You may also want to speak to an attorney to determine whether your current custody/visitation arrangement should be modified.
