Legal Question in Medical Leave in Massachusetts

what is the policy on returning to work?

After you have completed the 12 weeks of maternity, if you find that you don't want to go back to work, do you have to pay back the money you received while on maternity leave? Is there some law about how long you have to come back for or can you decide then that you don't want to come back without any penalties????

Re: what is the policy on returning to work?

People get paid while on FMLA leave for one of only four reasons:

1 - it's vacation time

2 - it's disability pay (short/long term)

3 - it's Worker's Comp, or

4 - the company LIKES you.

In any event it's yours, spend it wisely.
