Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

I have a child that is constantly high on pot(marijuana) nearly every minute of the day, smoking in my house and was told that if it doesn't stop I will call the police and turn this 17(almost 18 years old) in. Is this the appropriate action to take. This child does not seem to care or respect our feelings what so ever.

I suggest putting your child in a drug treatment program instead of calling the police. An arrest and conviction could seriously damage his future, while a treatment program could save that future.

I also suggest focusing more on your child's welfare than on your own feelings. Such misplaced priorities on your part may help explain why he started using drugs in the first place. If you really think putting your child behind bars instead of helping him is an appropriate way to deal with your hurt feelings, then you should consult a therapist, clergyman or social worker. Your child is not the only one who needs treatment.
