I'm sure other attorneys will chime in, but I strongly recommend that your client work with an attorney to purchase an annuity or employ some other strategy to accomplish her goals without jeopardizing her eligibility for medicaid. If you would like to speak with an elder law/medicaid attorney, please feel free to contact my office at your earliest convenience, 617-357-4898.
