Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Former tenant still owes rent

I have been chasing a former through the courts for two years now for rent that he still owes. I have had him arrested for not coming to court and then he pays a little to get out of jail. How can I get him to pay on a regular basis? We have made several payment arrangements and he ignores them all. I just keep dragging him back to court! HELP

Assuming you have a judgment and he has a job, you can garnish his wages. You need to have a creditors exame if you have not had one done already.

I suggest you contact a collection attorney for assistance. They do what you need done all the time.

I agree. You are out of the realm of landlord/tenant law and into the realm of collections law. You should find a collections attorney to help you.
