Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Hi, I'm wondering what I can do if my subletter doesn't pay rent. Landlord is ok with sublet, we signed an agreement but he isn't paying, can I kick him out? do i have to give him 30days notice? Thanks

Thank you for your question.

If your sub-tenant is not paying rent, you will need to send a 14-day notice to quit and proceed with an eviction. If you are interested, our office offers a flat fee for uncontested eviction, and we only charge hourly fees if the eviction becomes contested. Best of luck.
