Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

I bought a foreclosure house from a bank 2 1/2 yrs ago for cash.I renovated the entire house, adding a 2nd bathroom, new roof, windows and doors using up all of my retirement money. I received title 5 papers but now that I have a contract for resalet, I am being told the title 5 was never done or recorded. The bank and realtor should have known this as should my lawyer for the closing. Who is responsible if the property doesn't pass now? I never would have bought the house if I had known there was no title 5 done. What is my recourse?
