Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

Hello My question is if I own a home in Ma and I am going thru a loan Modification Process meanwhile I might have to file bankrubptcy due to other unsecured and some liens that i need to remove,, I found by reasearching that the deed has never been registred with the lender on record for my property for the last 4 years, does that mean that my loan now becomes unsecured debt and it can be wiped out and i can keep my home,,,

I need help with this

It is not so much the deed as it is the mortgage, I believe.
