Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

time cards

I recently had legal work done and although the lawyer sent a bill I asked for the time card to review. Iwant to pay him but I see some errors. Can I get a copy of his time card for review before paying the balance? Thank you

Re: time cards

Lawyers don't use "time cards." They track their time spent on your matter and send you a bill describing how that time was spent. If you have questions about the bill sent to you, call the attorney to discuss it. But s/he is probably under no obligation to validate the time spent and billed to you beyond the invoice.

Re: time cards

Attorney's do not have time cards. They do track their time. If you have a question about the time spent or if you think there is an error with respect to the bill ask the attorney to check the bill and/or explain it.

I do not think you are entitled to see his billing sheets.
