Re: sexual harassement

Although your question is very general and contains few facts and details, I can provide a few guiding principles:

First, sexual harassment is a form of unlawful employment discrimination. Frequently, both the harassing employee and his/her employer can be held responsible.

Second, outside of the employment sphere (and housing, education, etc.), sexual harassment, per se, is generally not illegal. However, there are penalties for criminal harassment, assault and battery, as well as negligent/ intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Lastly, unless there is some nexus between you, the harassed individual, and your workplace, your employer generally would not be involved.
