Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

My father died and my step mother refused to share a copy of will and trust documents. What recourse is there to obtain copies of all assets?

Go to the Probate Court in the county where your father died and look for his file. If no Will has been filed and no Estate has been open, contact an attorney to discuss your options thereafter.

I'm sorry for your loss. Assuming your step-mother has probated your father's estate, there should be something filed in the appropriate Probate Court, including a will and other information. If your step-mother is following the law, you should receive notice of a proceeding. If no paperwork has been filed in Court, then you want to speak with an attorney to discuss your options, which could include compelling her to produce the will or petitioning the Court for your appointment as personal representative of your father's estate. Good luck.
