Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

probate

i am one of three equal heirs of moms estste. she died on 2.20.2006. her home has been untouched as far as i can tell and just wasting away. there is a wrongfull death suitb and no telling when this will be setteled. in the mean time, can i request to live and be caretaker of moms home.since no one else seem's interested. both other heirs have access to the home, one is also administrator and refuses to speak to me about any of this, estate lawyer has not been helpful

Assuming that you are not getting answers to your questions, and given that this is an intestate estate (you refer to "administrator"), it might make sense at this point to speak with an attorney to assist in getting attention.

There are filings in the probate court that could tell you part of the story. You can also check to see about the wrongful death suit, by checking the file where the action was filed.

You can simply write to the attorney and ask the attorney for a status report. If all else fails, get a lawyer.
