Re: registered will??

I am not sure what your lawyer had to do with the will. A will is a specialized legal document. What is important is that you know where it is, and if something were to happen, that the people who rely on the will need to know where it is kept.

There is no registry for will. It is not like a deed. Yu do need to keep it in a protected place. If your lawyer or someone else has it, and you do not have access to it, or forgot who has it, I suggest that you do another will.

Re: registered

No. A will is a private matter until such time as a person dies and their estate is probated.

Re: registered will

You did not say if the person of interest is alive or deceased.

A person may file his or her will with the Registrar of Probate. It is infrequently done, but might be worth checking.

Probate is supposed to be commenced a short time after the person dies, and the will would be filed when it is commenced, along with a death certificate, at that time.
