Suing the state of michigan

Can I bring a claim against the worker compensation bureau for refusing to affford me my rights under the worker comp. act. Is it possible to take this claim to a federal district courtcourt.

Suing the state is seldom productive as you must prove administrative error to the point of criminality (i.e. not just denial of your rights).

You'd make more productive use of your time if you pursued a timely appeal. I don't practice worker's compensation, but other lawyers do.

Call your local county bar association and they will give you a no charge referral.

You must appeal workers comp decisions to the Appellate Commission. If you feel that you somehow were denied your constitutional rights, I guess you could go to federal court but it would be giant, uphill battle that I doubt that any lawyer would take. What exactly happened that you feel that you were denied a fair hearing. Just not liking the decision is not enough. It has to be that the hearing was inherently biased. William S. Stern
