Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

I have a contract for a company to provide services. I was unhappy with the company and requested a partial refund. While the contract does not have a guarantee, the owner agreed, in writing, to refund a portion of my money. Payment was due on September 1. The owner has indicated she mailed the check on September 2 via US mail. I have not received the check and I have not heard back from the owner. Please advise me of my legal options in order to get payment. Is this something I can contact the Attorney General about? Payment is less than $1000. Not sure if this make a difference in how you respond regarding my legal options.

If you still do not have the payment - ask them to void the check previously issued. Get a new check made and you collect yourself.
