Customer non pay
I have a computer repair business.
A customer still has not come in to pay for the repairs. At what point does the computer become my property, if at all?

it depends on your contract. you are likely not entitled to the computer simply because they do not pay, unless they don't pick it up and it is deemed abandoned. you should have these types of policies in the contract with the customer so you can take action without facing any recourse by the customer.

When a person delivers an article of value, to be altered, fitted or repaired, the mechanic has a lien on the property for the just value of the labor and skill applied, and may retain possession of the property until the charges are paid. See MCL � 570.186. Best wishes.
