Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

My exboyfriend gave me some money never said it was a loan. He said he wanted to help me n now he is demanding the money back. Or he is going to sue me for it. Can he win

Who knows? It's one word against another. A judge would have to decide credibility and a winner would be declared.
