Can a collection company take money out of an account for a debt? and how?

Yes, but only if you give permission. If a collection agency has taken money out of your bank account and you did not authorize it to do so, please call me immediately.

Your bank account can also be garnished by a creditor (not a collection company) if the creditor has obtained a judgment against you (should be from a Michigan court).
