Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

writ of garnishment

I was sued for a credit card that I reported stolen 13 years ago. Some collection agency has a writ of garnishment against my current wages. Is this legal?

Re: writ of garnishment

If you did not defend the lawsuit, they correctly took a default judgment against you. The garnishment follows from there. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss more fully. Tim Klisz
